At Our Friends Afar, we have a variety of products: subscription boxes, a la carte kits, digitally downloadable eBooks, card decks, and apparel.
To join Sunshine and Boomer on their world-wide adventures, you must subscribe to our Travel Subscription Kit. All travel subscriptions begin with the Travel Kit, which is the Our Friends Afar Starter Kit. This kit prepares your child with all of the fun supplies he or she will need to get ready for their international adventures. The following kits will take your kids to a different country each month. To join Sunshine and Boomer in learning about a specific travel or international subject via a ready-to-use arts and crafts project, you must subscribe to our Creativity Subscription Kit. To go on a sensory adventure, you must subscribe to our Junior Creativity Subscription Kit. There are three subscription options for both box types: month by month, 6 months, and 12 months. There is also an option to purchase these kits a la carte.
To go more in depth on a subject, we also offer downloadable informational packets or eBooks that include fun activities. These currently include the Traveling in Depth Packet and the Geography Packet. To keep your child occupied on a travel journey, we have two special eBooks that are full of fun, educational games that your little one will love. These are called For the Plane and For a Road Trip. We will be updating this section as more packets become available.
To spice up your meal time conversations, we also have Meal Matters, a card deck that inspires deeper conversations about topics that matter, including bullying, diversity, happiness, love, and more. Did you know that immigrants facing deportation in immigration court do not have the right to a lawyer if they cannot afford one. No matter what your political views are, I am sure you feel the same: that is not okay; that is not America. I imagine you too are heartbroken for these separated families and children in detention centers.
