Cambodia Travel Kit

This kit includes a fun trip around the world to Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Meet two local children, Youthea and Kimsan and learn a bit about their lives in the city. Next, Sunshine and Boomer will show you some pictures from their trip, provide some interactive and educational games for you to play, fill you in on some interesting facts, and teach you some Cambodian Khmer (Kuh-my) words. As always, you will be given a passport stamp to put in your passport. Remember to find Cambodia on the map so you can see where you are!

The first option includes the Cambodia kit information ONLY. It does not include the suitcase, passport, world map, and other travel goodies that make the Our Friends Afar experience more interactive and fun. To make sure you get the suitcase as well as the country specific kit, be sure to choose the option, Cambodia Kit + Suitcase Starter Supply.

Note: All of our products subtly generate talking points for you to discuss with your little one. Some of these points include: culture, race, diversity, language, geography, food, poverty, and kindness. The aim of Our Friends Afar is to teach children that although we are all different and unique, we are all the same. It’s our belief that open-minded and empathetic children lead to a more peaceful, loving, and connected future. THIS is our goal!

Feel good about your purchase. Ten percent of profits from all Our Friends Afar sales will be donated to RAICES, a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization that promotes justice by providing free and low-cost legal services to underserved immigrant children, families, and refugees. Did you know that immigrants facing deportation in immigration court do not have the right to a lawyer if they cannot afford one. No matter what your political views are, I am sure you feel the same: that is not okay; that is not America. I imagine you too are heartbroken for these separated families and children in detention centers. Hopefully our donations can play a role in helping these families and individuals.
