Littering Creativity Kit

$44.99

Are you looking for a fun, creative, skills building activity to share with your child? One that engages his or her playful side, while also providing exposure to worldly topics? If you answered, yes, then the Our Friends Afar Creativity Kits are made just for you.

In this kit, our main characters, siblings, Sunshine and Boomer, introduce your child to the concepts of littering, recycling, upcycling, and composting. They discuss what these words mean and how to practice implementing each. Your little one will be given all of the tools he or she will need to create a colorful keepsake box using the concepts from the booklet.

This kit includes: a note from Sunshine and Boomer, an information booklet, a cardboard box, colored origami paper, feathers, sequins, and a gluestick.

Note: All of our products subtly generate talking points for you to discuss with your little one. Some of these points include: culture, race, diversity, language, geography, food, poverty, and kindness. The aim of Our Friends Afar is to teach children that although we are all different and unique, we are all the same. It’s our belief that open-minded and empathetic children lead to a more peaceful, loving, and connected future. THIS is our goal! Our Creativity Kits are designed to expose your child to various topics while inspiring curiosity about others – be it their life circumstances, where they live, and more.

Feel good about your purchase. Ten percent of profits from all Our Friends Afar sales will be donated to RAICES, a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization that promotes justice by providing free and low-cost legal services to underserved immigrant children, families, and refugees. Did you know that immigrants facing deportation in immigration court do not have the right to a lawyer if they cannot afford one. No matter what your political views are, I am sure you feel the same: that is not okay; that is not America. I imagine you too are heartbroken for these separated families and children in detention centers. Hopefully our donations can play a role in helping these families and individuals.
